Ingredients
Chicken pieces - 6
Big Onion - 300g
Tomato - 2
Ginger - 30g
Green Chilly - 30g
Curry Leaves - 1 stem
Coconut shredded - 1/2
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Red Chilly Powder - 2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 20g
Coconut Oil - 100g
Salt - as to taste
Method
Slice the onions into small pieces. Cut the green chilly lengthwise. Slice the ginger into long slices.
Extract the first and second coconut milk. Heat oil in a pan and saute onion and green chilly. Add the masala's when the onions turn brown. Add the tomato pieces to this and saute for some more time. Add water and allow the gravy to thicken. Add chicken pieces and also the second milk of coconut and cook until the chicken is done. Pour the first milk of coconut and simmer for some time. Do not boil.
