A naked, life-size statue of Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie could soon be gracing the streets of Oklahoma City. The statue, which depicts Jolie breastfeeding twins, was created by New York artist Daniel Edwards.
The statue is titled "Landmark for Breastfeeding" and was inspired by last year's W magazine cover photo of the actress shot by her husband Brad Pitt, who was born in the Oklahoma town of Shawnee.
"I’m doing a series on celebrity mothers,” Edwards said to The Oklahoman . "It kind of fit with past works I’ve done.”News of the statue had people in Oklahoma City and Norman, Okla., sharing their thoughts on the controversial statue; some said it was art, while others thought it was too sexual.
